With the new winery building, Philippe Starck and Luc Arsène-Henry have firmly established aesthetics at the heart of the chateau. This functional building also seeks to embrace the mysterious beauty that presides over wine creation. The minimalist architectural language is designed to bring alchemy to the fore: the design reveals the poetry of an encounter, the genius of nature and human talent.
As well as being a work of art in its own right, every year the winery also hosts the creations of a guest artist. The winery walls exhibit works that form part of a burgeoning collection, lending themselves to interpretations of the vineyard. Ara Starck, Sergio Mora, Beniloys, Collectif La Douceur and Gwendoline Finaz de Villaine inaugurated the first years of this living gallery, providing unique visual interpretations of recent vintages.
